May I ask why you're changing the art so much? It's unavoidable, that the way we (the readers, ofc) percieve the characters will change with their changing looks. Is this the goal? Were you getting stuck with the "old comic"? I know it's not a whole new comic, but it's definitely not the same as it used to be in any sense. And I do get the whole "alternate timeline" or whatever it is, I just don't know if the comic will ever revert to its former self.
Oh, and sorry if you have already explained all of this in previous threads. (In which case I'd just like to know which one, so I can go read it for myself.)
You're right though, the third panel is great, you can really see the action in it. Not a big fan of Jimmy and Cecania's hair in this page since it's getting a little out of control. I get you want to make see-through hair for your style, but it's being overdone. (which is why the third panel is good, because it's not overdone there) Harmony still has great hair, though I'm not sure how I feel about removing the whites from her eye style. Her shoes are great in the last panel, though the feet are a bit small and it doesn't make much sense that Jimmy isn't using his arms or hands to lift her up instead. Overall your backgrounds and lighting just keep getting better. They're so vibrant here and you can really feel the ambience. The car in the first panel could have been better, but hey.
Well, that's pretty much it.
One of the good things about working on a 3X a week comic is that style evolves at a pretty fast rate. Obviously color throws a real wrench in the works but so far it's been pretty fun. Anyway, i'll change up Ces' hair as soon as there is a moment in the story that allows it. Glad most people are digging the backgrounds as well, that's been where most of my focus has been lately, trying to figure out a look that works.
and jimmy looks adorable x]
backgrounds ftw ! seriously, i think i'm gonna be using this comic as a ref for my own stuff, 'cause i never know what to put in the background ><
I can't wait for the comics in the coming weeks, I'm really wondering how this is going to tie in. It just seems like, reading through all of the current comics at once, that the "new" world must tie into Jimmy's fix somehow, and if nothing else Jimmy would still be aware of it, evidenced by his recognition of Ces. Also its my belief that he's retained his powers, because all of Harm's stuff being "mysteriously broken" seems like something he could do with his powers in order to get back in the story, or at least to further the plot. His powers might be weakened by his last battle with Osama, and of course the recreation of history, but he'd probably have enough left to break random junk in Harm's house.
BTW--taking bets on whether Sawyer owns Ces' old house now, as he's clearly rich now.
and just for the sake of gambleing, my guess is that the house is owned by someone we havent met yet.
or perhaps the pregnent man-butler and his child.
As we're all gambling... my moneys on Rondel.
Hell, they're in Mayflower, New Jersey: The Birthplace of Rondel Mayflower. (you see it just before Ces hits Jimmy..)
